Does the printer connect through a wire?
If the concerned printer is connected by a wire, plug it
to the power supply. After the device
connects automatically, the attached computer will download the right drivers.
The connected device can then be used right away.
Do you have a wireless Desk jet 3700 printer?
If you have a wireless version of the Desk Jet 3700
printer, then you will have to follow these instructions:
- After
selecting the Start button, you will have go to the Settings option. You will
then have to open the Devices tab, then select Printers & scanners before
clicking the Add a printer or scanner option.
Once the device has located the nearby printers, select
the one you want to use before clicking on the Add Device option. If you want
to disconnect the printer later you will have to highlight it and select the
Remove option.
Mac system
- Use
the instructions that came with your printer to unpack the Desk Jet 3700
printer, install ink or toner, and add paper. Turn on the printer and make sure
it’s not displaying any errors.
- You
will now have to connect the printer to your Mac. If you are using a Wi-Fi
printer, you may have to use a USB cable to
set up Wi-Fi printing.
- After
the Desk Jet 3700 printer has been connected to your Mac, you will have to
install the Mac software that came with the printer and use the setup assistant
of the device to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- After
the setting up process is completed, the cable can be disconnected from your
Desk Jet 3700 printer and Mac. The Desk Jet 3700 printer will remain connected
to the Wi-Fi network.
- In
order to add the Desk Jet 3700 to the list of available printers you will have
to access the Apple menu before clicking on the System Settings option. You
will then have to select the Printers & Scanners option available in the
sidebar. After selecting the Desk Jet 3700, click on the Add option. Your
printer might not show up for a minute or two. Make sure to download and
install any new software that appears on screen prompts.
- If
you do not see the Desk Jet 3700 in the list, then go to the Add Printer,
Scanner or Fax options on the right. A dialog box displaying the local network
printers will appear.
